At CasaIQ, your privacy is not an afterthought. We built this platform for Canadian homeowners who trust us with sensitive financial information, and we take that responsibility seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.
What We Collect
We collect only the information needed to deliver your CasaIQ Score and personalized home financial insights. This includes:
- Your name and email address (for account creation and communication)
- Property address and details (to estimate home value and assess property tax)
- Mortgage information you provide (balance, rate, term, lender)
- Documents you upload to your Home Vault (stored encrypted)
- Basic usage data (pages visited, features used) to improve the product
How We Use It
Your data powers your personalized dashboard. Specifically, we use it to:
- Calculate your CasaIQ Score and equity position
- Identify savings opportunities (mortgage rate, property tax, grants)
- Match you with relevant federal and provincial incentive programs
- Send you timely alerts when market conditions affect your home
- Improve our algorithms and product experience over time
Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting, with infrastructure deployed in compliance with Canadian data residency best practices. Access to production data is restricted to essential personnel only, and we conduct regular security reviews. Your uploaded documents are stored in encrypted object storage and are never accessible to other users.
We Never Sell Your Data
This is non-negotiable. We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to third parties. Period. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks.
If we ever partner with lenders or service providers to offer you better rates or services, we will always ask for your explicit consent before sharing any information. You remain in control.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
